CompuGhana Ltd, a leading technology and IT retail company in Ghana, in partnership with Hotwav, has unveiled three new smart devices — the Hotwav A36, A26 Ultra and Pad 13 — at a colourful unboxing event held at the CompuGhana premises in AirportWest, Dzorwulu, Accra.

The event, which featured Hotwav co-owner Shatta Wale, brought together technology enthusiasts, consumers, brand representatives and industry stakeholders to experience firsthand the latest additions to Hotwav’s growing portfolio of smart devices.

The launch highlighted Hotwav’s growing presence in Ghana’s competitive technology market, with the brand positioning the newly introduced devices around affordability, durability, innovation and practical features for everyday users.

The partnership between CompuGhana and Hotwav also reflects a shared commitment to promoting technology brands with a strong connection to Ghana while making modern devices more accessible to consumers across the country.

Speaking at the event, Marketing Manager of CompuGhana Ltd, Mrs Rita Akua Safoa Nyarko, explained the company’s decision to support Hotwav, citing the durability of its devices and its focus on innovation.

“Due to the durability that comes with the phones. We are committed to innovation and providing our customers with the best technology available on the market,” she said.

Hotwav A36 positioned as affordable entry-level smartphone

Hotwav Brand Manager, Mr Henry Agyekum, said the newly introduced smartphones were developed to provide consumers with more features while remaining accessible to customers working within different budgets.

According to him, the Hotwav A36 is an entry-level smartphone designed to offer everyday functionality while maintaining a focus on affordability and durability.

“We launched the A36 and then the A26 Ultra. The A36 is an entry-level phone where it gives you more, but it’s budget-friendly. The most affordable device, durable device that currently you can find on the market,” he said.

Mr Agyekum also disclosed that Hotwav has added a data package to the A36 offering, giving customers free data for 12 months after purchasing the device.

Hotwav A26 Ultra targets mid-range consumers

The Hotwav A26 Ultra, meanwhile, has been positioned as a mid-range device for consumers looking to move beyond entry-level smartphone specifications while maintaining an affordable price point.

The introduction of the A26 Ultra forms part of Hotwav’s broader effort to give consumers more device options across different segments of Ghana’s smartphone market.

Hotwav Pad 13 brings tablet, keyboard and stylus package

Beyond the two smartphones, Hotwav also used the event to introduce the Hotwav Pad 13, a tablet designed to combine entertainment, productivity and convenience.

Mr Agyekum said the Pad 13 comes with enhanced specifications and accessories intended for users who require a more comprehensive device for work, study and other activities.

The tablet package includes a mouse, stylus pen, keyboard and book cover, while also featuring larger RAM capacity and a battery designed for extended use.

The inclusion of a stylus pen and mouse gives the Pad 13 additional productivity functionality, potentially making it useful for consumers seeking a tablet for creative, professional and everyday tasks while on the move.

Devices available through CompuGhana

For CompuGhana, the collaboration represents another step in its efforts to expand access to technology products and give Ghanaian consumers a wider range of innovative devices to choose from.

The Hotwav A36, A26 Ultra and Pad 13 are available through CompuGhana shops across Ghana and online, according to information provided at the launch.

The combination of CompuGhana’s retail reach and Hotwav’s newly unveiled product lineup adds another dimension to Ghana’s expanding consumer technology market, giving customers access to smartphones and tablet technology across different price and usage categories.
