LG Ghana rolls out affordable appliances designed for everyday living

New refrigerators, freezers, washing machines and microwave ovens unveiled at Accra launch.

ACCRA, Ghana, Sept. 26, 2026 — LG Electronics Ghana has introduced an expanded range of refrigerators, freezers, washing machines and microwave ovens, positioning the products as practical and affordable solutions for households and businesses.

The products were unveiled during the LG NPI Launch and Dealer Seminar at The Palms by Eagles in Accra, held under the theme “Smart Choice. Smarter Living.” The event brought together media professionals, dealers, staff, business partners and other stakeholders.

The new range includes French-door refrigerators, bottom- and top-freezer refrigerators, chest freezers, twin-tub washing machines and the LG NeoChef microwave oven.

Mr. Hari Elluru, LG representative at Giant Tek Limited, said the company’s focus was to develop products that respond to the changing needs of Ghanaian consumers.

“At LG, our goal is not simply to introduce new products but to create solutions that genuinely improve everyday life,” he said.

He said the appliances were designed to help consumers preserve food, simplify laundry and prepare meals more conveniently.

Speaking during the product presentation, Mr. Olugbenga Ogunbayo, Master Trainer for West Africa at LG Electronics Africa, said quality remained central to LG’s product development.

“Our fundamental principle is to focus on quality, which we have done. So our product has gone through rigorous testing processes,” he said.

Mr. Ogunbayo added that the appliances had been developed to be affordable and useful for Ghanaian households, with features focused on food preservation, laundry efficiency, energy savings and ease of use.

The presentation highlighted features including inverter compressors, convertible storage compartments, direct cooling systems, different capacity options and practical designs for everyday use.

Mr. Lerry Wang, Regional General Manager of Giant Tek Limited, said LG would continue to respond to changing consumer expectations through innovation.

“Consumer expectations are constantly changing, and innovation remains at the heart of how we respond,” he said.

The launch also featured a product and technology video, cultural performances, product demonstrations, an unveiling ceremony and media interviews.

The afternoon dealer seminar focused on marketing activities, product demonstrations, service and after-sales support, dealer sales assistance and a sell-through basket scheme. Dealers also engaged LG representatives during a question-and-answer session.

According to LG, the new appliance range is available through authorised distributors and retail partners across Ghana as the company strengthens its presence in the local market.
