American streamer IShowSpeed has sparked online debate after openly declaring his preference for Ghanaian Jollof rice over Nigerian Jollof. While visiting Nigeria, he was offered their version of the dish but rejected it, insisting that only Ghanaian Jollof satisfies his taste buds.
The streamer further revealed his love for Ghanaian fufu with groundnut soup, stating that nothing compares to the flavors he experienced in Ghana. Reports suggest celebrity chef Hilda Baci was left disappointed by his remarks, as Jollof rivalry between Ghana and Nigeria continues to be a hot cultural debate.
IShowSpeed also hinted at traveling back to Ghana soon, not for tourism or business, but simply to indulge in more plates of the country’s beloved Jollof rice. His comments have since gone viral, fueling another round of the long-standing “Jollof war.”
