Dr. Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe, a key board member of Hearts of Oak and former Chairman of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), has confidently predicted a remarkable transformation for the club over the next five years. He believes that Hearts of Oak will soon surpass expectations in both the Ghana Premier League and on the African stage.
The club has recently faced challenges, including a tough season where they narrowly avoided relegation by securing a vital win against Bechem United on the final matchday. Despite finishing just a point above the drop zone, with only four wins in their last 12 games, Dr. Nyaho-Tamakloe remains hopeful.
He highlighted the club’s ongoing infrastructure projects, such as the near-completion of the multi-purpose complex at Pobiman and advancements in their clubhouse, as signs of a strategic long-term plan. Dr. Nyaho-Tamakloe assured fans that these investments would soon bear fruit, leading to performances that will make them proud.
“I can assure you that within the next five years, the improvement will be unbelievable,” he told Joy Sports. “Hearts of Oak’s football standards and their achievements in Africa will astonish many.”
Meanwhile, Hearts of Oak recently triumphed in the 2024 Homowo Charity Peace Cup, edging out Heart of Lions 8-7 in a penalty shootout after a 1-1 draw in regulation time at the Accra Sports Stadium. The match was organized by the Gbese Mantse.
