The police noted that preliminary investigations suggest the suspects may be part of a larger network involved in land-related disputes, intimidation, and violent enforcement of unlawful land claims—activities commonly associated with land guard operations in parts of Greater Accra.

The arrested individuals are currently in police custody assisting with investigations. The retrieved weapons have been secured as exhibits, while further intelligence-led operations are expected to identify and arrest additional accomplices connected to the group.

The Greater Accra Regional Police Command reaffirmed its commitment to combating land guard activities, which continue to pose a threat to public safety, property ownership rights, and community peace. The Command urged the public to remain vigilant and to promptly report suspicious activities, especially those involving firearms or intimidation linked to land disputes.

Police also warned land guards and criminal groups that intensified patrols and targeted operations are ongoing across the region to dismantle such networks. Residents were assured that the police will not relent in enforcing the law and ensuring the safety of lives and property.

The suspects are expected to be arraigned before court after investigations are concluded.
