Former Ghana Finance Minister Entered the United States on Visitorโs Visa in May 2025
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has stated that former Ghanaian Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta remained in the United States beyond the authorized period of his visitorโs visa.
An ICE spokesperson disclosed that Ofori-Atta entered the U.S. on May 28, 2025, under a visitorโs visa that was valid until November 27, 2025. Records reviewed by the agency indicate that he overstayed his permitted admission.

ICE has not announced any further enforcement action at this time, and no official comment has been released by Ofori-Atta regarding the claim.
