North Korea Condemns U.S. and Israeli Strikes on Iran as Violation of Sovereignty

North Korea’s leadership has sharply condemned recent military strikes by the United States and Israel against Iran, calling the attacks a violation of Iranian sovereignty and territorial rights.

Strong Reaction from Pyongyang

In a statement carried by state media, North Korean officials criticised the joint operation, calling it an “illegal act of aggression” and warning that such actions threaten regional and global stability. The statement accused Washington and its allies of undermining international law and escalating tensions in the Middle East.

Call for Respect of Sovereignty

Pyongyang emphasised that Iran’s sovereignty must be respected, urging the international community to oppose what it described as external interference and military aggression. North Korean authorities further stated that the use of force without broad international consensus risks deepening instability in an already volatile region.

Wider International Reactions

The condemnation comes amid heightened global concern following the strikes on Iranian targets. Several governments have called for restraint and renewed diplomatic engagement to prevent further escalation. While the United States has defended its actions on security grounds, critics argue that continued military confrontation could widen the conflict and disrupt global economic and energy markets. The situation remains fluid, with diplomatic efforts ongoing as world powers monitor developments closely.
