The Minority Leader in Parliament, Alexander Afenyo-Markin, has criticized the administration of President John Dramani Mahama, claiming the government has failed to make any meaningful impact after one year in office.
“No Tangible Results” — Minority Leader Speaks
According to Afenyo-Markin, the Mahama-led government has not delivered the transformational policies and economic relief promised to Ghanaians during the election campaign.

He argued that key sectors of the economy continue to struggle, while ordinary citizens are yet to feel significant improvements in their daily lives.
“After one year, Ghanaians expected visible results, but what we see is a government that has failed to deliver real change,” he reportedly stated.
Concerns Over Economy and Governance
The Minority Leader further pointed to ongoing economic pressures, rising cost of living, and unemployment challenges as evidence that the administration has underperformed.
He also questioned the pace of reforms and the implementation of campaign promises, suggesting that the government must urgently recalibrate its strategy.
Majority Yet to Respond
As of now, the governing side has not formally responded to the latest remarks. Supporters of the Mahama administration, however, maintain that structural reforms take time and that progress is being made behind the scenes.
The debate adds to the growing political tension as Ghana navigates economic recovery efforts and policy reforms.
GhanaMedia.net will continue to follow developments and bring updates on reactions from both sides of the political divide.
