Has Ebo Noah Been Treated Fairly, or Singled Out? Ghana and the World React

The arrest and continued detention of self-styled prophet Ebo Noah has sparked intense debate across Ghana and beyond. Many are questioning whether due process and fairness have been fully observed in his case.

Ebo Noah has reportedly been held in custody for over two weeks, with calls from sections of the public demanding clarity on the basis of his detention, as well as whether an immediate mental health evaluation—as suggested by some commentators—was necessary or handled appropriately.

At the same time, critics are asking why other alleged fake prophets, whose actions and prophecies have also drawn public concern, continue to walk freely without similar intervention.

Was Ebo Noah’s arrest influenced largely by his controversial “Noah’s Ark” stunt, which attracted massive public attention and ridicule? Or was this a justified enforcement of the law, applied fairly and equally?

This situation raises broader questions about selective justice, freedom of religion, mental health handling, and consistency in law enforcement.
