Official statement dismisses social media allegations against Alpha Hour founder

Management of gospel musician Esther Smith has issued a strong clarification dismissing reports circulating on social media that Pastor Elvis Agyemang, founder of Alpha Hour, demanded or received money in exchange for prayers.

In a statement titled “Clarification on Misleading Reports Concerning Pastor Elvis Agyemang (Alpha Hour)”, the management described the allegations as false, misleading, and a gross distortion of facts.
According to the statement, Esther Smith’s team engaged Pastor Elvis Agyemang and the Alpha Hour leadership in an atmosphere of respect, dignity, and genuine pastoral care, stressing that no money was requested, demanded, or charged for prayers at any point.

The statement further revealed that adequate security and logistical support were provided throughout their engagement, with all interactions handled professionally and with integrity. Management praised Pastor Elvis Agyemang for demonstrating consistent character, accountability, and transparency, describing him as a leader who can be trusted.
Esther Smith’s management condemned narratives suggesting otherwise, urging the public to disregard speculation, sensational headlines, and misrepresentations currently trending on social media.

They also appealed to media practitioners, bloggers, and content creators to verify facts before publication, warning that misleading reports could unfairly damage reputations and disrupt peace within the Christian community.
The statement concluded that the clarification was issued in the interest of truth, clarity, and peace, reaffirming support for responsible journalism and ethical public discourse.
The statement was officially signed by Esther Smith Management.
