Four Injured In Taxi–Truck Collision At Kotokuraba In Cape Coast

Four people have been injured following a road accident involving a Toyota Echo taxi and a Sumsung Yamouzine truck at Kotokuraba in Cape Coast on Thursday, March 12, 2026.

The incident occurred in the busy commercial district of Cape Coast, prompting a rapid emergency response from the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS).

According to officials, the Metropolitan Fire Station in Cape Coast received the distress call at approximately 10:28 a.m. A rescue team was immediately dispatched and arrived at the scene by 10:32 a.m. to assist victims and secure the accident site.

Upon arrival, firefighters found four victims — three males and one female — injured in the collision between the Toyota Echo taxi with registration number GW 5934-14 and the Sumsung Yamouzine truck with registration number CR 487-18.

Emergency responders quickly evacuated the victims and transported them to the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital and Ewim Polyclinic for medical treatment.

Authorities say the swift intervention of emergency personnel helped ensure that the victims received prompt medical care.
