Ten Football Administrators Join 12-Person Executive Council

On Thursday, 24th October 2019, representatives from the Premier League, Division One League, and Women’s Football gathered at the Ghana Football Association (GFA) secretariat in Accra to elect their respective representatives for the newly formed Executive Council.

A total of ten football administrators were chosen to fill the 12-person council. The reconstituted Executive Council includes distinguished representatives from various sectors of Ghanaian football:

Three representatives from the Division One League Two representatives from the Regional Association One representative from Women’s Football The remaining posts occupied by members from the Premier League.

The newly elected council members are expected to play a crucial role in shaping the future of football administration in Ghana, contributing to governance, development programs, and strategic planning for both professional and grassroots football.

The GFA stated that this reconstitution aims to strengthen leadership, improve transparency, and ensure broader representation across all football divisions in Ghana.
