Photo of Chinese CEO Gifting ₦1 Million Sparks Viral Debate Over Baby’s Resemblance

A photo circulating widely on social media shows a Chinese CEO reportedly giving ₦1 million to her Nigerian staff to celebrate the birth of her newborn baby. While the generous gesture grabbed attention, what has truly ignited online discussions is the baby’s striking resemblance to the CEO, rather than the child’s father.

The image has sparked intense debate, with users speculating about the child’s parentage and questioning the authenticity of the story. Despite the buzz, there has been no confirmation of the incident’s legitimacy, leaving the online community divided.

Social media users have flooded comment sections with humorous, critical, and sometimes skeptical takes, illustrating the rapid spread of viral content in today’s digital age.

Moral takeaway: In an era where viral posts dominate newsfeeds, not everything trending is true. Observers are encouraged to verify stories before forming opinions or sharing them further.

This viral photo serves as a reminder of how quickly misinformation or unverified stories can capture public attention, regardless of the actual facts.

On May 9, 2025, Kinaata was presented with the Youth in Entertainment Award at the Otumfuo Millennium Excellence Awards held at the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi. The award recognizes individuals whose work has significantly contributed to national development and societal progress.

In an interview on Angel FM, Kinaata described the recognition as the pinnacle of his career. He explained that while the Grammys focus primarily on rewarding musical achievements, the Asantehene’s award acknowledges a broader societal impact.

“Grammy awards are primarily given to musicians, but the award Otumfuo bestowed is unique and stands out. You could sing your entire life and still not receive it, which I consider more prestigious than the Grammys,” Kinaata said.

He also noted that receiving the award has opened new opportunities, expanded his fanbase, and granted him access to platforms and shows previously unavailable to him.

Otumfuo himself has commended Kinaata’s artistry in the past, particularly praising his song “Susuka” as “full of wisdom” during the Ghana Bar Association’s General Conference in 2024.

Other notable awardees at the ceremony included Dr. Osei Kwame Despite of Despite Group, Dr. Ernest Ofori Sarpong of Special Ice Water, and Dr. Nick Danso of Ghana Link Network Services.

Kinaata’s remarks underscore the value of local recognition and the profound respect Ghanaian artists hold for traditional institutions, highlighting the deep cultural significance of awards beyond global fame.

Galamsay Fight: Two Defiant Chinese Nationals Arrested in Jomoro Forest Reserve

The National Anti-Illegal Mining Operations Secretariat (NAIMOS) Task Force has apprehended two Chinese nationals for engaging in illegal mining activities within the Tano Anwia Forest Reserve, located in the Jomoro area of Ghana’s Western North Region. According to NAIMOS officials, the suspects were caught red-handed conducting mining operations that had severely impacted the natural environment. The team discovered large-scale destruction of vegetation and the diversion of portions of the Tano River — a vital water source for nearby communities.

Authorities confiscated a range of items from the suspects, including a Toyota Land Cruiser V8 (registration number GR 442-14), four excavators — three immobilized and one completely neutralized — as well as two heavy-duty water pumps used in their illegal operations.

Investigations have revealed that the suspects were allegedly operating under the cover of the “Jomoro Community Mining Project.” Sources within NAIMOS suspect that the concession for the site may have been issued by the Chief of Jomoro, Nana Kwame Nkansah, though investigations are still ongoing to confirm the details.

Speaking to the media, a NAIMOS spokesperson emphasized the government’s unwavering resolve to clamp down on illegal mining operations regardless of the individuals or institutions involved.

“Anyone — Ghanaian or foreign — found engaging in or facilitating illegal mining will face the full rigors of the law,” the spokesperson declared.

The two Chinese suspects are currently in police custody, assisting with further investigations.

This latest arrest comes amid Ghana’s intensified efforts to protect its forests, water bodies, and farmlands from the destructive impact of galamsey, which has long posed a serious threat to the country’s environment and public health.

Shocked and feeling guilty, the thief immediately turned the vehicle around and returned to the store. Upon arrival, he confronted the baby’s mother — not to apologize, but to lecture her about the dangers of leaving a child unattended in a running vehicle. After scolding her for being irresponsible, the thief did something unbelievable — he drove off with the car again.

Local police later recovered the vehicle, and thankfully, the baby was unharmed. Authorities reminded parents never to leave children alone in cars, even for a short time, as anything can happen in moments.

The strange incident sparked widespread conversation online, with many people both amused and shocked by the thief’s “moral stand.” It served as a bizarre but important reminder about child safety and responsibility.

Heartbreaking: Pupils in Salaga Dorfor Walk Long Distances in the Rain Just to Attend School

A heartbreaking story from Salaga Dorfor in the Volta Region has sparked outrage after photos and testimonies revealed the daily struggles of young pupils like Beauty, who endure harsh conditions just to attend school.

Beauty and her classmates walk for about 20 minutes every day to reach Abutia Hlove, where their basic school is located. However, the situation becomes even more difficult when it rains, as the children must trudge through muddy paths and flooded areas just to learn.

Abutia Hlove has no Junior High School (JHS), forcing pupils who complete class six to walk between 10 and 15 kilometers to attend JHS in nearby communities — a journey that discourages many and increases dropout rates.

According to Beauty’s teacher, Mr. Raphael, who also lives in Salaga, he personally walks his students to and from school every day to ensure their safety.

Disturbingly, many of the girls reportedly drop out of school due to teenage pregnancy — a fate that befell Beauty’s elder sister.

Critics have since called out the Ghana Education Service (GES) for sharing Beauty’s photo on social media to portray a positive story, while in reality, she and her peers face dangerous and inhumane conditions just to access basic education.

No child in Ghana, especially a 3-year-old, should have to go through this in 2025 simply to learn. The call is clear — GES must do better.

The heartbreaking incident has sparked emotional reactions across social media, with many expressing sadness and urging Ghanaians abroad to maintain close communication with loved ones. Others are using the incident as a reminder of the loneliness and silent struggles many face while living overseas.

“She was a hardworking, quiet woman who barely went out,” one neighbor shared. “It’s so sad no one noticed earlier.”

While the exact cause of her death is yet to be confirmed, the incident has reignited discussions about mental health, isolation, and the importance of community — especially among Africans living abroad.

May her soul rest in peace. 💔🇬🇭

Jordan Ayew On Fire — Drives Ghana Toward World Cup Qualification

El Jadida, Morocco — Jordan Ayew is making headlines once again in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, delivering a performance of rare excellence as Ghana assert dominance in Group I. In a resounding 5-0 victory over Central African Republic, Ayew scored and provided two assists — pushing his tally to seven goals and seven assists in just nine qualification matches.

That kind of output has earned him comparisons with global superstars. Some analysts now place him in the same elite bracket as Lionel Messi and Erling Haaland, citing his involvement in goals at a rate that rivals theirs.  His steady hand, vision, and finishing have become integral as Ghana edge closer to the World Cup.

In the win over CAR, Ayew orchestrated the attack. He played a key role in the build-up to Thomas Partey’s goal, delivered a corner that led to Alexander Djiku’s header, and then struck home his own finish in the 71st minute.  Ghana now lead the group on goal difference and need just a point from their final match to secure qualification — a prospect made far more comfortable by Ayew’s prolific form.

For Ayew, this run of form reinforces his status as not just a dependable national team player, but as a leader and talisman. His contributions have lifted Ghana’s offensive potency, and they now stand on the brink of returning to the World Cup stage.
