Agyemang expressed gratitude after the ceremony, describing the recognition as an honour and thanking God, her family, friends, coaches, teammates and everyone who had supported her journey.

The award recognises a breakthrough period for the forward, whose contribution to England’s successful European Championship campaign helped bring her growing talent to wider public attention. She was also named Young Player of the Tournament at Euro 2025.

The ceremony comes as Agyemang continues her recovery from an anterior cruciate ligament injury sustained while playing for England against Australia in October 2025. Recent reports have indicated that she is getting closer to a return, although no specific comeback date has been confirmed.

Agyemang’s MBE adds to the recognition she has earned through her performances for England and her development through Arsenal’s academy. The honour celebrates her contribution to football while she works towards returning to competitive action.
