Economic Expert Applauds Government’s Performance in First Year
Ghanaian economist, Prof. Daniel Bokpin, has commended President Nana Addo Mahama for his administration’s performance in the first year, stating that the country’s economy is steadily moving in the right direction.

In an interview with local media, Prof. Bokpin highlighted key achievements, including improved fiscal policies, increased investment inflows, and stabilizing inflation rates. “The first year of President Mahama’s tenure shows positive indicators. The economy is on a good trajectory, and the government’s policies are beginning to yield results,” he remarked.
He further emphasized the importance of maintaining fiscal discipline and continuing reforms to sustain growth. “Consistency in economic planning and policy implementation is crucial. If these trends continue, Ghana could see significant improvements in the coming years,” Prof. Bokpin added.
The comments come amid growing discussions about the government’s economic strategies and their impact on citizens’ livelihoods, with analysts noting steady improvements in sectors like agriculture, trade, and digital services.
Prof. Bokpin concluded by urging both the government and private sector to collaborate, stressing that sustainable growth requires collective effort.
