Three Women Arrested Over Brutal Assault on Minor, Now in Police Custody

Information gathered so far indicates that the three women seen in a widely circulated video brutally assaulting a minor have been arrested and are currently in police custody at the LA Police Station.

The disturbing footage, which went viral across social media platforms, sparked public outrage and renewed concerns over child abuse and the protection of minors in Ghana. In the video, the women are seen physically attacking the child, an act many viewers described as inhumane, cruel, and deeply troubling.

Following intense public pressure and multiple reports, the Ghana Police Service acted swiftly, leading to the arrest of the three suspects. According to preliminary information, the suspects were picked up after police identified them through the video and corroborated details provided by members of the public.

Sources close to the investigation confirm that the suspects are currently being held at the LA Police Station, where they are assisting with investigations. Police officials say the minor involved has been removed from the harmful environment and is receiving the necessary care and support.

The Ghana Police Service has condemned the act in strong terms, emphasizing that violence against minors will not be tolerated under any circumstances. Authorities have assured the public that the case will be thoroughly investigated and that the suspects will be processed in accordance with the law.

Child rights advocates and social welfare groups have also reacted to the incident, calling for stricter enforcement of child protection laws and stiffer punishment for offenders. They stress that such acts leave long-lasting physical and psychological scars on victims and must be addressed decisively.

Meanwhile, police are urging the public to remain calm and allow due process to take its course. They have also encouraged citizens to report cases of child abuse promptly to help prevent further harm.

Further updates are expected as investigations continue and the suspects are prepared for possible prosecution.
