The competition brought together some of the country’s most promising young performers for a series of demanding auditions and elimination stages. From the field, 18 finalists—nine singers and nine dancers—earned the chance to take centre stage and compete for the ultimate prize.

Each category unfolded over two thrilling rounds. After the opening performances, four contestants from the singing segment and four from the dance segment advanced to the final phase, where they raised the bar with show-stopping performances in a bid to become the first NESCAFÉ Campus Groove stars.

Guiding the contestants was a high-profile judging panel featuring DanceGod Lloyd, a pioneer and influential figure in Ghana’s new-generation dance scene; award-winning musician Adina Thembi; and award-winning rapper and former music competition winner Strongman.

The singers commanded the stage with powerful vocals, captivating performances and impressive stage presence. The dancers matched that intensity with creativity, technical skill, explosive energy and some of their finest moves, keeping the audience engaged throughout the night.

Category Development Manager for Nescafé, Lily Boatema Ntim, speaking at the finale, said: “Young consumers want more than just a product experience when you come on campus. They want to have an impact, they want platforms where they can express themselves, and they want to connect with their passions. And that is what Nescafé is offering.”

A New Stage for Young Ghanaian Talent

With its focus on discovering and nurturing young creative talent, NESCAFÉ Campus Groove is positioned to become more than a competition—it is a potential launchpad for Ghana’s next generation of music and dance stars.

If the talent and energy displayed at the maiden edition are anything to go by, the future of Ghanaian entertainment is already brewing.
