A young trader and recent Senior High School graduate, Beatrice Afful, has reportedly died after being struck by a vehicle on the Kumasi-Bibiani stretch while returning home from Kumasi.

According to a report by Dunkwa TV cited by ModernGhana, the incident occurred after Beatrice, a resident of the Sefwi Akontombra District in the Western North Region, travelled to Kumasi to replenish stock for her dress business.
Beatrice Was Returning From Kumasi
Beatrice had reportedly completed Senior High School recently and had travelled to Kumasi to purchase new dresses after selling out her previous stock.
She was returning home aboard a VIP bus when she reportedly asked the driver to stop by the roadside so she could urinate.
Struck After Getting Off Bus
According to the reports, Beatrice alighted from the bus and was allegedly struck by a car approaching from the opposite direction.
She was subsequently rushed to the nearest hospital for medical attention but was pronounced dead upon arrival.
The incident has been reported as a tragedy on the Kumasi-Bibiani stretch, highlighting the dangers passengers can face when stopping along busy highways.
Beatrice Was Building Her Business
Reports indicate that Beatrice had turned to trading after completing Senior High School and was travelling to Kumasi to replenish the dresses she sold as part of her business.
Her death has since drawn attention to the circumstances surrounding roadside stops by long-distance passengers.
