Awutu Ofaakor District Police Launch Investigation into Yamoah Nkwanta Death

The Awutu Ofaakor District Police Command has arrested a 49 year old man, identified as Moses, in connection with the suspected murder of his girlfriend at Yamoah Nkwanta in the Awutu Senya West District of the Central Region.

According to police sources, the arrest followed reports from residents who raised alarm after the woman was found under suspicious circumstances. Officers from the Awutu Ofaakor District Command swiftly moved to the scene and commenced preliminary investigations, leading to the arrest of the suspect.

The identity of the deceased has not yet been officially disclosed, pending notification of her family. Police say initial findings suggest foul play, prompting the immediate detention of Moses for questioning.

The suspect is currently in police custody assisting with investigations, while the body of the deceased has been deposited at a nearby morgue for preservation and autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.
