In a social media post, Bongo Ideas noted that Jordan Ayew has scored more goals for Ghana than legends such as Abedi Pele, Michael Essien, Stephen Appiah and Sulley Muntari. According to him, the forward has also played a major role in helping Ghana qualify for three FIFA World Cups and seven Africa Cup of Nations tournaments.

Despite recent criticism over his performances, Bongo Ideas insisted that fans should not allow a few disappointing matches to overshadow years of service to the national team.
“You Don’t Erase Years of Service”
Bongo Ideas argued that football supporters are often too quick to forget the sacrifices and achievements of players. He stressed that Jordan Ayew’s current struggles should not erase his accomplishments with the Black Stars.
“Let’s be serious. You don’t erase years of service because of a few poor games,” he wrote.
Mixed Reactions Among Football Fans
The comments have generated debate among supporters. While some fans agree that Jordan Ayew deserves more respect for his commitment and longevity, others believe criticism comes with the expectations attached to leading the national team.
Jordan Ayew remains one of Ghana’s most experienced players and continues to be a key figure for the Black Stars despite differing opinions about his recent form.
Why This Story Matters
The debate highlights the fine balance between criticism and appreciation in football. While performances are always scrutinized, many supporters believe players who have served the nation for years should also receive recognition for their achievements and dedication.
