Ghanaians React Online

Social media reactions have intensified after screenshots of the notice spread rapidly across WhatsApp, TikTok, Facebook, and X.

Many users questioned whether the document was authentic, while others expressed concern about the treatment of African migrants abroad and the growing global scrutiny surrounding immigration enforcement.

Some Ghanaian users also called on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ghana’s diplomatic missions in Asia to urgently verify the notice and provide guidance to citizens currently living in Cambodia.

Others warned Africans to avoid overstaying visas or immigration waivers in foreign countries due to increasing international crackdowns.

Authenticity Questions Emerge

As of the time of publication, independent verification of the notice remains limited, and authorities in Ghana have not publicly commented on the circulating document.

However, the document bears official-looking immigration seals, signatures, and contact details associated with Cambodia’s immigration authorities, fueling wider debate online.

Observers say the situation highlights the vulnerability many African migrants face abroad regarding immigration laws, visa overstays, and changing government policies.
