Police in Accra have reportedly foiled an alleged armed robbery operation in Labone, leaving two suspected robbers dead and another suspect in custody.

According to an eyewitness account circulating online, the suspects were allegedly monitoring customers around a bank before attempting to follow a potential target. Police reportedly moved in after receiving information about the suspects’ activities, leading to a confrontation.
The account said the suspects attempted to flee when officers intervened and that gunfire was exchanged during the pursuit. Two of the suspected robbers were reportedly shot dead, while a third suspect was arrested.
