The Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection, Dr. Agnes Naa Momo Lartey, has ensured the safe discharge of a rescued baby from Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital after the child made a full recovery.

Following the directive of H.E. President John Dramani Mahama, the government fully settled the baby’s medical bills and provided psychological support for the mother, who is reportedly responding positively to treatment and counseling.

The intervention forms part of the government’s broader child protection efforts aimed at safeguarding vulnerable children and supporting affected families during traumatic incidents.
According to officials, the Minister personally took several steps to ensure transparency and due process in the matter.
