Stanbic Bank Ghana has been named Ghana’s Best Investment Bank at the Euromoney Awards for Excellence 2026, marking another major international recognition for the bank’s corporate and investment banking franchise.

The award forms part of an impressive 17 accolades won by Standard Bank Group across Africa at this year’s Euromoney Awards for Excellence. The recognition spans securities services, corporate and investment banking, and SME banking across key African markets.
For more than three decades, the Euromoney Awards for Excellence have recognised financial institutions for performance, innovation and the impact of their services on clients and economies.
For Stanbic Bank Ghana, the latest recognition highlights its continued role in providing corporate and investment banking solutions designed to help businesses, investors and public-sector institutions access capital, manage complex transactions and pursue strategic growth opportunities.
Musah Abdallah, Head of Corporate and Investment Banking at Stanbic Bank Ghana, said the recognition reflects the bank’s commitment to delivering high-quality advisory, financing and capital-market solutions.
“Being recognised as Ghana’s Best Investment Bank is a testament to our unwavering commitment to delivering world-class advisory, financing and capital market solutions for our clients,” Mr. Abdallah said.
He added that Stanbic Bank Ghana remains focused on partnering businesses, investors and the public sector to unlock growth opportunities, facilitate strategic investments and support Ghana’s long-term economic transformation.
The award comes as Standard Bank Group continues to strengthen its position across the continent. Among the Group’s other 2026 Euromoney recognitions are Africa’s Best SME Banking Ecosystem, Africa’s Best for Securities Services and Africa’s Best Investment Bank for Equity Capital Markets.
Standard Bank Group CEO Sim Tshabalala said the awards demonstrate the Group’s ability to serve clients across the economy, from entrepreneurs and small businesses to multinational companies, institutional investors and governments.
He said the Group remains focused on connecting capital to opportunity while supporting trade, infrastructure, energy and broader economic development across Africa.
The latest recognition builds on Stanbic Bank Ghana’s established record in investment banking. The bank has previously received major international recognition for its investment banking, debt capital markets and corporate finance capabilities. Its official corporate and investment banking portfolio includes corporate financing, energy and infrastructure financing, real estate financing, debt and equity capital markets, mergers and acquisitions advisory, transaction banking and global markets services.
Stanbic Bank Ghana has also continued to position itself as a key player in Ghana’s capital markets. In 2025, the bank was recognised as Best Primary Dealer at the 10th Anniversary Dinner and Awards of the Ghana Fixed Income Market, reinforcing its longstanding involvement in government securities and fixed-income market activities.
The bank’s investment banking activities have increasingly focused on sectors with significant implications for Ghana’s economic development, including energy, infrastructure, real estate, mining, agriculture and other strategic industries. In January 2026, Stanbic Bank Ghana executives also highlighted the importance of macroeconomic stability, policy consistency and regulatory reforms in attracting investment into Ghana’s energy sector.
Stanbic Bank Ghana is a subsidiary of Standard Bank Group, an Africa-focused financial services group operating across 20 African countries and international financial centres. The Group’s continental footprint enables Stanbic Bank Ghana to connect local clients with expertise, capital and opportunities across African markets and beyond.
The Euromoney recognition therefore represents more than an individual award for Stanbic Bank Ghana. It also underscores the growing importance of sophisticated investment banking services in supporting businesses and institutions seeking to raise capital, execute strategic transactions and participate in Ghana’s economic recovery and transformation.
With the latest recognition, Stanbic Bank Ghana has further strengthened its reputation as one of the country’s leading corporate and investment banking institutions, while reaffirming its commitment to supporting clients and contributing to sustainable economic growth.
Stanbic Bank Ghana said it remains focused on using its expertise, continental network and client relationships to create opportunities and support Ghana’s long-term growth.
