Margaret Mary Adjei Twum, the lawyer representing Ghanaian actor Kwadwo Nkansah (aka LilWin), remains resolute in her client’s innocence regarding the tragic accident that claimed the life of a three-year-old boy. Despite the negative publicity surrounding the incident, Twum is hopeful that LilWin will not face prosecution as the court awaits guidance from the Attorney General’s office.

At the recent court hearing on July 29, 2024, the docket was still under review, and Twum emphasized that LilWin was not at fault. She highlighted the significant impact of the incident on the actor, stating, “The negative publicity has affected him deeply, and even influenced the success of his movie, ‘A Country Called Ghana’.”

Twum’s primary concern is not financial compensation but rather seeking comfort and closure for the deceased’s family. She reaffirmed her commitment to defending LilWin, stating, “We stand by his innocence until proven otherwise. Our defense strategy will evolve once we receive the Attorney General’s report.”

LilWin was arrested on June 3, 2024, in connection with the accident and was granted a 50,000 Ghana Cedis bail with two sureties. The prosecution has sent the case docket to the Attorney General’s office for advice, and the court awaits further guidance.
