Former Dome-Kwabenya MP Sarah Adwoa Safo is receiving medical treatment after unknown gunmen allegedly opened fire on her vehicle during a tense gathering linked to the Kristo Asafo succession dispute.

According to multiple reports, the incident happened on Sunday near the residence of her younger brother, Israel Kwadwo Safo, also known as Nana Kwadwo Safo Akofena, where supporters had gathered amid ongoing disagreements over the leadership of the Kristo Asafo Mission.

Reports Say Gunshots Were Fired At Her Vehicle
Witnesses claim armed men fired several rounds at the vehicle carrying the former Gender Minister. Unconfirmed reports suggest around 15 shots were discharged, with one bullet allegedly grazing Adwoa Safo near her neck.
She was rushed to a medical facility and sources close to her indicate she is currently in stable condition and responding well to treatment.
Growing Tensions Within Kristo Asafo Family
The incident comes against the backdrop of increasing tensions surrounding the succession of the late Apostle Emeritus Kwadwo Safo, founder of the Kristo Asafo Mission and Kantanka Group.
