The Accra Regional Police Command has arrested two brothers over the alleged killing of a 54-year-old man and the shooting of his wife at Beach Drive Estate, Tuba, near Weija.
The suspects have been identified as Adams Adder Almeida and his brother, Bala Bilyon, following investigations into the incident that left the man dead and his wife receiving treatment.

The deceased, identified as Mohammed Rahman, 54, and his 53-year-old wife, Christiana Fosu, were reportedly found outside their four-bedroom residence with gunshot wounds.
The couple was rushed to Finney Hospital in Weija for medical attention. Mohammed Rahman was pronounced dead on arrival, while his wife was referred to Korle Bu Teaching Hospital, where she remains on admission and is reportedly responding to treatment.
Suspect allegedly explains motive
According to the police, Adams Adder Almeida admitted during interrogation to shooting the couple.
Investigators said Adams claimed he became angry after Rahman allegedly repeatedly described him as “lazy” and “useless.” He reportedly told investigators that the comments affected him psychologically and contributed to his decision to attack the deceased.
The allegation forms part of the ongoing police investigation, and the suspect remains presumed innocent unless proven guilty by a court of competent jurisdiction.
Police recover suspected weapon
Following his arrest, Adams allegedly led police officers to his brother’s room at Beach Drive Estate, where a pistol suspected to have been used in the incident was recovered from beneath a well drop.
The recovery of the suspected weapon has become a key part of the investigation as police continue to establish the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
Brother also arrested
Police investigations further revealed that Adams and his brother Bala, who reportedly worked with the deceased, were living together in the same room at Tuba.
Adams also reportedly told investigators that a friend identified as Gideon had given him the pistol.
He subsequently led police to Gideon’s residence at Tuba, but the individual was not found at the location.
Investigation continues
The Accra Regional Police Command is continuing investigations into the circumstances surrounding the shooting, including the alleged involvement of the two brothers and the whereabouts of the individual identified as Gideon.
The incident has raised renewed concerns about the consequences of personal disputes escalating into violent confrontations, particularly where firearms are involved.
Authorities are expected to establish the full sequence of events and determine the appropriate legal action based on the evidence gathered.
