The Orgen Impact has released its first digital edition, bringing together stories and reflections centred on people, purpose and possibilities. Carrying the theme “Make what we have already built matter,” the first edition invites readers to look at existing work, relationships and experiences through a renewed lens. In his editor’s note, Dr Orgen reflects on years spent telling stories, listening to others, teaching, praying and creating spaces where people can feel heard.

When a Book Becomes a Movement

The cover story focuses on The Stories That Made Me, a book project described as a collection of the people, places, difficult moments and opportunities that shaped a life of faith and purpose.

The publication uses the book as a broader invitation for readers to consider the experiences that have influenced their own lives. It asks readers to reflect on a person, moment or lesson that changed their direction and consider how that experience might encourage someone else.

The magazine notes that the book remains in production and release preparation, making clear that the project is developing rather than presenting a completed global movement.

Creating Space for Real Stories

Another feature introduces the What Story Made You? invitation, encouraging people to reflect on the moments, lessons and experiences that have shaped them.

The initiative places particular emphasis on listening. The publication states that an emerging community should not be confused with a completed global movement and says stories are to be shared voluntarily. It also establishes a listening promise that respects each person’s decision about what to share, when to share it and with whom.

The Mind Room and Deeper Conversations

The Mind Room is presented as a platform exploring life, emotional wellbeing, leadership and the experiences that shape people. The issue highlights guest conversations and reflective solo episodes, while also introducing the developing collection The Things We Carry.

The publication says guest invitations are extended to changemakers, professionals, mental health advocates, authors and community builders, with the aim of creating conversations in which listeners can recognise aspects of their own lives and leave with questions worth considering.

InspireMind Global and Africa Awake

The issue also profiles InspireMind Global, which focuses on educational and reflective resources around wellbeing. Its editorial themes include family expectations, changing livelihoods, belonging and emotional boundaries.

An existing resource highlighted in the issue is Dealing with ADHD, described as a practical guide for parents, teachers and caregivers. The magazine lists a Ghana book price of GH₵150, with readers advised to contact the organisation before payment to arrange pickup or delivery. L

Africa Awake, meanwhile, is presented as a platform for thoughtful short-form reflection across different social and cultural contexts. Its central questions include what gives young people confidence in their future, how families respond when relocation affects support networks, and how communities respond to struggles that are not always visible.

The publication also makes a distinction between possibility and proof, noting that content and partnership proposals should be reported separately from confirmed results and partnerships.

Faith at the Centre

The magazine’s faith-focused section, The First Word, draws from John 1:1–3 for a September reflection. The feature encourages readers to look beyond immediate problems and begin their perspective with God, asking readers to consider how faith can place their concerns within a larger story.

A Personal Tribute to Sarah

One of the issue’s most personal stories is a tribute by Dr David Rex Orgen to Sarah, his wife, presented under the title “Sarah: My Wife, My Quiet Strength.”

The story recalls a difficult period when an expected insurance payment had not arrived and there was insufficient money to meet payroll. According to the account, Sarah had quietly saved small amounts of money and later handed Dr Orgen a yellow envelope containing enough savings to cover the entire payroll.

The story presents the episode not simply as financial assistance, but as an illustration of preparation, sacrifice, partnership and quiet support. The issue also notes that Sarah leads Creator Children’s Center and serves as First Lady of Hilltop United Methodist Church.

Hilltop United Methodist Church Marks 121 Years

The publication turns to Hilltop United Methodist Church in Columbus, Ohio, for a community and anniversary feature marking 121 years, covering the period from 1905 to 2026.

The anniversary feature describes the church’s history across generations and reflects on its continuing work through worship, prayer, pastoral care, phone devotions and community food efforts. The anniversary is scheduled for October 25, 2026, in Columbus, Ohio.

The People Behind the Purpose

Issue 01 also recognises the people supporting the various initiatives. The first team feature highlights Henry as team lead for InspireMind Global, alongside Richard and Juanita, who also contribute to DRO Ministries. Priscilla is also identified as serving DRO Ministries while leading The Mind Room Podcast team.

The second team feature focuses specifically on The Mind Room Podcast, identifying Priscilla as team lead, with Jennifer handling social media and coordination, Gilbert working in video editing and production, Enoch providing production and creative support, Joshua handling research and guest preparation, and Vera serving as a podcast team member.

An Invitation to Continue the Conversation

The first edition closes with an invitation for readers to share their stories, explore The Mind Room, read and learn from existing books and resources, and connect around speaking or collaboration.

With the recurring theme of People • Purpose • Possibilities, The Orgen Impact Issue 01 positions itself as a platform for stories and conversations that connect personal experience, faith, wellbeing, leadership and community.

The publication lists [email protected] and www.davidorgenauthor.com as contact details for readers interested in continuing the conversation.
