Ghana’s No. 1 goalkeeper, Lawrence Ati Zigi, has expressed deep appreciation to supporters of FC St. Gallen after they surprised him with a touching choreography during their final home game before the international break.
The gesture, which took place at the club’s home ground, filled the stadium with emotion as fans held up banners and performed a heartwarming display in honor of the Ghanaian shot-stopper.
Ati Zigi, who has been a pillar for both his club and Ghana national football team, took to social media to share how much the moment meant to him.
He wrote:
“Dear fans, this is simply an indescribable goosebumps moment ❤️. This choreo has deeply moved me.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for that! It’s an unforgettable feeling to experience such support. You always stand behind us in good times and in bad times, and that’s what makes you so special.
I’m proud to be able to play in front of you and promise to always give everything for you and the club on the pitch. Without you, all of this wouldn’t be possible — you are our greatest motivation ❤️.”
Ati Zigi’s performance in recent matches has earned him massive respect in Switzerland, making him one of the most admired players at the club. The emotional show of support is a testament to his growing bond with the fans — and his impact both on and off the pitch.
