Following Dr. Likee’s recent remarks about his mentees’ obstinacy and his potential retirement from acting to focus on business, his protégé, 39/40, has responded publicly for the first time.

Dr. Likee recently announced his decision to retire from skit-making, attributing his departure to persistent mistreatment from both colleagues and mentees since rising to fame on YouTube. His candid comments revealed underlying issues within his team, leading to reactions from his associates.

In a recent interview with blogger Zion Felix in France, 39/40 expressed regret upon hearing Dr. Likee’s account of the difficulties he has faced.

Kotoko defender Mohammed Nurudeen, shun football to pursue nursing

0

Asante Kotoko has announced the mutual termination of defender Mohammed Nurudeen’s contract, as he has chosen to advance his career in nursing. Although Nurudeen signed a three-year contract with the club in 2023, he simultaneously holds a position with the Ghana Health Service as a practicing nurse. Despite Kotoko’s efforts to persuade him to prioritize football, Nurudeen has decided that his future lies in nursing.

In an official statement, Kotoko revealed that they had entered a three-year employment agreement with Nurudeen before the start of the 2023/24 football season. Recognizing his dual commitment, the club attempted various strategies to retain him as a player, but Nurudeen remained steadfast in his decision to pursue nursing.

Following an emergency meeting on August 4, 2024, the Interim Management Committee (IMC) agreed to release Nurudeen to ensure team cohesion for the upcoming season. The IMC assured fans that this decision would not result in any financial or sporting penalties for the club and extended their best wishes to Nurudeen in his nursing career.

This move is part of Kotoko’s broader strategy to build a stronger squad, having released over 15 players in preparation for the next season. The Porcupine Warriors finished sixth in the Ghana Premier League last season, which was considered a disappointing outcome for the club.

Maintaining the doors God opens for you depends on your character – Joe Mettle advises

0

Acclaimed gospel artist Joe Mettle has delivered a powerful message to aspiring musicians, underscoring the critical role of character development alongside musical talent.

In a recent address to emerging artists at the Band Experience Music Workshop in Manchester, UK, Mettle, known for his hit “Kadosh,” emphasized that while talent is essential, it is not the sole factor in achieving long-term success in the music industry.

Mettle highlighted the importance of continually refining one’s gift while also focusing on personal growth. “Talent alone is not sufficient. You must build upon the gift you have been given by continually seeking knowledge and experience from others in the field,” he explained.

He further noted that character plays a pivotal role in career longevity. “A great gift can open doors, but it is your character that will keep you in those spaces. Without strong character traits, such as integrity and humility, collaboration and opportunities can become challenging,” Mettle warned.

Encouraging musicians to balance their craft with character development, he advised, “While your gift might pave the way, only a solid character will ensure you remain and thrive. If you find yourself frequently facing issues due to personal conduct, it might be time for self-reflection.”

Mettle’s message was clear: the fusion of talent and character is essential for enduring success in the competitive world of music.
