A tragic incident has been reported at the Afram River, where a 23-year-old man identified as Anthony, believed to be from Kwahu Tease, has lost his life by drowning.

According to local reports, Anthony had been seen roaming the area for about two days prior to the incident and was believed to be struggling with minor mental health challenges.

The local Assembly member, Hon. Sampson Kpitsi Aban, noticed his presence and took steps to trace his family. His parents were eventually contacted but were unable to arrive in time to take him home.
Sadly, between the morning and midday of the following day, Anthony drowned in the river under circumstances that remain unclear.

Police officers have since visited the scene to assess the situation and begin preliminary investigations into the incident.
