In a heartfelt revelation, Ananzo, popularly known as the Washing Bay Promoter, shared the story behind his unexpected rise to fame. While many associate his breakthrough with Nigerian superstar Davido, he says the real journey started with Ghanaian rap sensation King Paluta.
“I was singing King Paluta’s Makoma when a friend came to my workplace and recorded me,” Ananzo recalled. “He uploaded the video, which quickly gained popularity. Later, King Paluta sent a supportive message and reposted the video. I was inspired to do more just by King Paluta’s gesture.”
The viral moment opened doors for Ananzo, eventually catching the attention of Davido, who played a key role in elevating his talent to a bigger stage.
Today, Ananzo’s story is inspiring many young Ghanaians who believe that one moment can change everything. From a washing bay to global recognition — it all started with a song.
